A middle ear implant is a hearing device that is surgically implanted into the middle ear. They help people with conductive, sensorineural or mixed hearing loss to hear. Middle ear implants work by improving the conduction of sound vibrations from the middle ear to the inner ear.

Cochlear Implants:
This is an electronic device that dramatically improves hearing. It can be an option for children and adults who have moderate-to-profound hearing loss from inner-ear damage who are not able to hear well with hearing aids. Unlike hearing aids, which amplify sound, a cochlear implant bypasses damaged portions of the ear to deliver sound signals directly to the hearing (auditory) nerve.
